Event News: GoodGuys Raleigh, OSUSC Vegas

Chris and Bret were at GoodGuys Raleigh this weekend (more info below; keep reading!), and many of our customers were enjoying the weather at numerous events, as well!

The autocross at Raliegh found several RideTech-equipped cars and trucks fighting for a top spot or just having fun.  Derek Brown brought home the 2nd place title in the Truck class in his ’67 F100; we also got to see Rob MacGregor in the HellBoy C10 and his wife, Tina, in her awesome ’65 Mustang!  Keith Corrigan, Bennie Dennis, and more were on hand representing RideTech; congratulations to everyone on an awesome weekend!

Another fantastic event went down in Las Vegas this weekend with the OSUSC at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  We had quite a few customers in the list at this event, including Cliff Elliott and his 2016 Mustang Code_blu (photo courtesy of Cliff Elliott).  Other RideTech-equipped competitors included Jane and Greg Thurmond, Alan Miller, and Bob Gawlik.

Speaking of Bob Gawlik, have a look at his impressive 1968 AMX!  This car has only been out a handful of times, but it’s definitely holding it’s own; and as an added bonus, Bob and the AMX won the Spectre Performance Spirit of the Event award, securing their spot at the 2016 OUSCI this fall!  Congratulations, Bob! 13055744_1162918017054129_3469647403295179407_o

Chris and Bret took the 48-Hour Corvette and the ’69 Mustang down south to Raleigh for the 2nd annual GoodGuys North Carolina Nationals.  For such a new show, this one sure brings in the crowds!  The autocross action was hot, with Chris bringing home a 4th place after spending the day battling it out with Kevin Daigle in that super little ’65 Shelby Cobra and a couple other heavy-hitters.  With a time of 33.8 seconds, Chris was only .46 behind Saturday’s winner!!  Bret and the Mustang came in at 7th place with a 34.6 in the PRO class.

Chris hung around for some fun runs on Sunday, snagging the 2nd place seat out of 32 entries that day in the 48-Hour Corvette!!  He also took some lucky folks out for autocross ride-alongs in the Mustang, and in that car he claimed 6th in the fun-run class on Sunday.  RideTech was also represented by many customers in the autocross, including Rob & Tina MacGregor, Derek Brown, Keith Corrigan, and Bennie Dennis.  We think this was a great show and look forward to attending again next year!

After another short vacation, next up for the 48-Hour Corvette will be GoodGuys Nashville on May 13-15 and then the insanely popular Midwest Muscle Car Challenge on May 29-30!
