Day 5 – We woke up Wednesday morning in Tennessee with Hoover, Alabama set as the day’s destination. Other than the heat we couldn’t of asked for a more beautiful day. Once we arrived at the Hoover Memorial Stadium we quickly noticed the people of Alabama sure brought some interesting cars out. Blame it on the heat, sleep deprivation or both but I somehow fell in love with this one red ?AMC?  It was an ’63 or ’64 that I couldn’t identify for the life of me. It has gorgeous paint, nice trim, and a killer custom interior inside. I normally have a fairly good eye to get pretty close on what the model is and a close range of years, but this thing had me stumped. (editors note: Car was actually a 1964 Studebaker Lark)

One of my other favorites is the 1965 Dart built by Big Oak Garage.

It has a 5.7 Gen III Hemi bored and stroked to 6.4. That beast is topped with a Magnuson supercharger which makes the potent Mopar capable of a reliable 650 horsepower. That big power is sent through a T-56 to a Ford 9” like it should be as well. It also has fully built suspension with a torque arm setup under the rear and RideTech CoilOvers all the way around.
Overall, the trip has been awesome. Thursday should be gorgeous, but a little warm as we head towards the Gulf. Check back tomorrow for a recap of our trip to Biloxi!
