The Hot Rod Power Tour has traveled from the Great Lakes in the north to the Gulf of Mexico in Gulfport, Mississippi as of yesterday. The journey has been awesome even with the typical twists and turns that come with hot rodding your car a couple thousand miles across the country. Although between the time and money the Tour is a huge expense, I think it is very worth it. I love seeing the variety of both cars and people. Walking around and listening to people chatting you hear accents from all over the country and sometimes the world.

There were quite a few cars out there riding on our suspension as well. Air ride seems to be the choice for the cars built for the Tour. Probably the best part of the trip is running down gorgeous back roads with muscle cars that many dream of seeing. It really hit me when I was following a ’67 Chevelle SS396, ’67 Ford Fairlane 500, and a few other choice rides. Many people dream of even seeing one of these cars sitting in a parking lot by themselves, let alone riding miles behind them on a curvy road in the heartland of the U.S. This is why the Power Tour is special to me. There are so many opportunities that you cannot get anywhere else to see cars from your dreams.

Tomorrow we head to the final stop at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The whole group of cars should be leaving Gulfport anywhere in between 7-10 A.M. and should arrive at Gulfport around the early afternoon depending on the traffic in the small towns. Check the route on Hot Rod’s website to see if we are coming to a town near you! – Kaleb

The ’73 Camaro seen above is my brother’s car. It’s nice to see him get some recognition for the countless hours of painstaking work to assemble that car from nothing to the finished product you see today. His complete devotion every detail to reproduce the ’73 in it’s original form as best he could is as remarkable as it is rewarding. Thank you for recognizing not only the car but the talent behind the vehicle.
