Boosted Motorsports Z06 Gets Ridetech Bushings!

C5 Corvettes continue to depreciate into a more attainable price range for enthusiasts. We love seeing that at Ridetech, as more of them are beginning to show up at events around the country. And we don’t mean events where the Corvettes stay parked the entire weekend; its genuinely inspiring to see more of America’s Sports Cars taking to the track where they were intended to be.

Our good friend John O’Malley (a.k.a. Boosted Motorsports on YouTube) recently acquired a C5 Z06 with over a hundred thousand miles on the clock, and the suspension was in need of some attention before it hit the track. He dove headfirst into the suspension in an all-out effort to see how it performs at Holley LS Fest Texas coming up May 17-18, 2024!

In this video you can watch John tackle the project of removing the old 135,000+ mile bushings on his Vette with our fresh new Ridetech Delrin Control Arm Bushing replacement kit.

These bushings are an ideal upgrade for Vettes that have bushings that inevitably wear out over time. We machine these bushings from self-lubricating Delrin so you don’t have to worry about re-lubricating them over time or dealing with squeaks that are common with polyurethane solutions. They’re also designed to resist binding at extreme alignment settings. The Delrin material promotes deflection reduction over the OE rubber bushings which creates more predictable and consistent handling. All that translates to no more control arm shift which is common with factory bushings.

He shares some tips and tricks that helped him get through the process more easily and we wanted to share the video the Ridetech nation. This video is ideal for those who are eyeing our control arm bushing kits and aren’t sure if they want to tackle the install on their own versus have a shop handle it. Whatever you decide, these bushings will aid in restoring some of the positive feel and handling sharpness that your Vette had when it drove off the lot!

Enjoy the video, and keep in mind, these aren’t the only Ridetech goodies John has planned for his Z06 before it hits the track at LS Fest Texas. Stay tuned to this blog and our social media to for the next installment.
