This past weekend brought the running of the Charlotte Motor Speedway OSUSC event (Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car), and the RideTech representation was awesome!!
Among the dozens of RideTech Nation drivers were Dan Howe in his 1984 Monte Carlo; Dan finished in an impressive 3rd overall in the GTV class. With a 4th place finish in both Autocross & Speed Stop AND a 5th place finish in Hot Laps against some of the biggest names in the industry, we think Dan and his Monte are really getting things dialed in!!

Another spectacular finish was won by Ron Schoch and his 1965 Mustang. Finishing 5th in Hot Laps & Speed Stop and 7th in Autocross, we expect to see much more of this pair in the near future!!

Other notable finishes were Jimmy Matthews in his 1972 Nova; despite some troubles earlier in the year, the pair are really finding their groove now. Jimmy brought home a 5th place finish in the Design & Engineering portion of the GTV class, and also earned the K&N Spirit of the Event award!

Keith Corrigan and the RideTech-built Velocity got out and made the most of the heat, too, taking a 7th place finish in both the Speed Stop and Hot Lap sessions.

But they weren’t the only ones!! Tim Schoch, Saroja Raman, Derek Brown, Rob & Lisa MacGregor, and more also had fantastic runs they should all be proud of!! We’d like to thank all of our customers for representing us at this event, and best of luck to those who are also competing in the upcoming OSUSC COTA event!!

At the same time, our own Jeremiah Stotler had command of the RideTech display at the GoodGuys show in Puyallup, WA. Jeremiah writes:
“The show was packed, the weather was perfect. After missing this event for the last couple of years, everyone was glad we were back and they let us know. All in all, a huge success for everyone! Can’t wait to go back next year!”

Tom and Amanda were also on the road this weekend, attending a 10/10ths Motorsports track day in the RideTech Corvettes at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY. The birthplace of the Corvette, it certainly seemed that it was the place to be for Corvette-lovers this weekend; and it looks like they had a great time!
