AutotopiaLA profiles some of the best cars around, and we especially like their latest feature on Brian Remmel’s 1968 Ford Torino. To see it in action, check out the video from their YouTube channel below.
Here are some details about the car and images from the AutotopiaLA feature.
Brian Remmel’s 1968 Ford Torino has been in the family since it was new. Originally Seafoam Green with black stripes, his mom purchased it for his grandma right off the showroom floor.
After totaling his parents’ car, Brian bought the Torino from his grandma for $1. He drove it throughout high school and later transformed it into the showstopper you see here.
With a 560 horsepower, 427 cubic inch stroker and a manual transmission, the car was built to perform. When it was time to pick out the suspension, Brian opted for Ridetech components all the way around. The front end is Mustang II-based, and he used our air suspension to dial in the ride height on the fly.
“I wanted the ability to be able to have an aggressive stance, and I wanted it to also be smooth,” he says. “I wanted to be able to have an active system that would prevent body roll so I would be able to actively drive the car and be more aggressive.”
We’ve long been fans of these late-’60s Fords, and we’re glad to see Autotopia focus on Brian’s ’68. If you’re looking for more great automotive content, make sure to tune into their channel here.
