The latest installment of the Eaton Performance Center F-150 builds finds Scott Kennedy and team addressing the upgrades to the suspension category of the F-150. With this high-profile build, they’ve selected a laundry list of high-quality partners to join in the build project.
Like many other current gen F-150 builds we’ve seen making the rounds, this truck is a RCSB (regular cab short bed) Coyote 4WD package, and will soon receive a supercharger. That said, having an adjustable suspension poised to manage the additional power, and reduce body roll and ride height without compromising ride quality is key. Queue Ridetech’s F-150 lowering system, a staple in the lowered F-150 space.
In addition, with the high horsepower and raw acceleration this truck will be capable of, the Eaton team opted for Ridetech’s optional traction bar setup which mitigate axle wrap and wheel-hop when being hard on the skinny pedal.
It’s clear to see from some of the other upgrades that are being added to this truck, i.e., the brake duct cooling, that the list of upgrades that will be going on this truck aren’t skewed too heavily in one area more than another. The idea is to build a well-rounded truck that rips your face-off in all categories, acceleration, braking, and cornering, and any combination of those in a dynamic setting on a track or the street. We look forward to seeing them achieve that balance once the build is complete. These guys are doing it right and making sure they recorded metrics on the stock truck and will be doing the same once the build is dialed in for sake of comparison.
Enjoy today’s installment and make sure you tune-in to the previous installments so you’re up to date.
We’ll catch you on the next one!
