In our latest Ridetech blog we invite you to dive into the journey of building a one-of-a-kind C10 truck, affectionately called “Cornbread 2.0 Plus Plus.” In this video, one our West Coast Ridetech dealers, Jason from Big 10 Garage, shares the ups and downs of merging modern performance with that timeless classic look. It’s all about keeping things functional and easy to service, two key points that really matter in custom builds. Plus, they stress the importance of rigorous testing and shakedown runs before handing over the keys to a customer.
After taking a ride in their trusty shop truck “Cornbread” the customer was completely sold on the idea! Cornbread is a 1971 c10 built by Big10 Garage in Gilbert Az. This truck features some great parts, Ridetech coil-over system, Magnuson supercharged LS3, American Racing VF474 Gasser wheels, Nitto tires and Wilwood Disc Brakes. Looking for more details on Cornbread? check out this full feature article from CK Magazine.
Under the hood sits a beautifully installed GM LS3 engine that makes a ground shaking 650 RWHP thanks to the help of the Magnuson supercharger. Other modifications include a custom smoothed firewall, Slosh Tubz inner fenders, and a bunch of hard lines that make this engine compartment stand out. The Midnight Special valve covers are also a very cool touch.
All said and done, this C10 is one fine specimen of the popular GM pickup platform. If you happened to be at the Scottsdale Barrett Jackson event earlier this year you may have seen it in person if you happened by our booth. If not, you can probably catch it at the Rockport Church Car’s & Coffee from time to time. The event is a favorite of the Big 10 Garage’s owner Jason Bowman.
