It’s always good to see inferior components find their way into the closest garbage can. That recently happened with Aaron from Dentside Depot. One of his F-100 projects had received some “just get it usable” front suspension components when he integrated the well-known Crown Victoria Panther platform front suspension onto the front of his truck.
While it certainly got it running, it wasn’t long before the other foot dropped and the effects of using components that aren’t up to the task ended up presenting issues.
We ran into Aaron at a recent show and discussed what he was looking to do with the truck and ended up arriving at replacing the front struts with a set of our 2003-2012 Crown Vic Front Coil-overs for the 1965-1979 Ford F-100 platform.
These coil-overs offer both ride height and rebound adjustability, which allow you to fine-tune how your F-100 handles with the new-to-it Crown Vic front end.
While Aaron opted for coil-overs on his F-100 project, these can also be had in our HQ ShockWave variant for the air ride contingent.
Give the video a watch thru and you can see how simple it is to upgrade the front Crown Vic suspension over to a quality coil-over that you can trust. We trust them so much that ours come with a million and one mile warranty.
For those that are looking for the crème de la crème of Ford F-100 suspension, you need look no further than Ridetech. We also have a full I-Beam replacement cradle that upgrades these popular F-100 trucks to independent front suspension (IFS). Not only do these front ends vastly transform the handling capability of the F-100 platform, they also make you feel more at home on the road thanks to the integration of rack-and-pinion steering. Ridetech’s IFS can be ordered with coil-over or ShockWave air suspension. Also available are a full suite of engine mount solutions so you can bolt in the popular engine of your choice (Small block Ford, Big Block Ford, Ford FE, Godzilla, even GM Small block, Big block or LS!).
Out back we’ve developed a full four-link to complement the front suspension and it is available in both coil-over and air versions as well.
That’s all for this one Ridetech nation. We’ll catch you on the next one!
