It’s been an amazing couple of days here on Hot Rod Power Tour 2016! On Tuesday, we headed out ahead of the crowd and made it to the venue in Grand Prairie, TX so that we could stream the participants entering the grounds. What a spectacular show! Hundreds of cars and trucks, over an hour’s worth of the most amazing vehicles in the country rolling in. The temperatures were perfect, overcast with a good breeze, and the spectators poured in, too! If you’d like to see some of these great cars as they drove by, check out our livestream footage!
Tuesday finished up on a hot note, and the temps held through our drive Wednesday morning and throughout the day. We’ve been seeing cars and trucks all week with multiple HRPT decals from various years, and the drive on Wednesday really showed us why this event brings so many back year after year; we found ourselves travelling with a group of hundreds of cars, and the feeling of cameraderie on the drive was spectacular. Popping over a hill and seeing cars of all colors lined out as far as you can see (literally!) in both directions is a really powerful sight!
We experienced record high temps at Wednesday’s stop in Oklahoma City, but that didn’t stop everyone from coming out and having one of the busiest midways so far this week!
