HyperFEST 20th Anniversary Highlight Reel

HyperFEST brings all types of high-revving, tire spinning racing action to Southern Virginia. Last weekend, we made the trip to VIRginia International Raceway to experience it firsthand.

Hosted by the team at Grassroots Motorsports, HyperFEST is billed as the largest automotive event on the East Coast. Now in its 20th year, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to swing by and see what all the hype was about.

Right off the bat, it became immediately clear that HyperFest does things big. The schedule called for a diverse mix of racing ranging from drifting and time trials to off roading and burnout contests. If that weren’t enough, they also offered karting, helicopter rides, and an air guitar shred contest.

The wide range of machines on the track was impressive to say the least. Corvettes and Civics, Mustangs and Miatas, there truly was something for everyone. Located on the Virginia/North Carolina border, VIRginia International Raceway provided the perfect backdrop for on track action—as well as camping when the show winds down for the day.

This year, we brought our fully stocked rig to the Manufacturers Midway. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with folks from around the country. With the mix of new friends and old, it made for an unforgettable weekend at HyperFEST.
