RideTech Takes Multiple Titles at Motor State!

(Official results have now been posted; see bottom of page)

We are always proud of our RideTech Nation members, and they always represent us well in every event and car show!  This weekend we had dozens of competitors in the ranks at the Motor State Challenge, and as usual, they had a great time putting our products through their paces and really showing what a good suspension can do!  Here are some of the results from the Motor State event:

CHRIS JACOBS

Chris and his Corvette took home a whole armload of trophies this weekend, including the fastest autocross lap in Late Model, fastest road course lap in late model, overall Champion in Late Model, AND the fast time of the day at GingerMan!!  And as if that wasn’t enough, Chris and his wife Lynda were chosen to receive the Todd Gartshore Memorial Award!!

DAN BALLARD

Dan and his Nova, affectionately known as “Grandma”, did extremely well in the hot conditions of the weekend, unofficially planding in the 4th place spot in both autocross and road course in the Vintage class.  Thanks to a lot of tuning and practice, they were also 2.7 seconds faster on the road course than they were last year!  That’s a heck of an improvement, Dan!!

CHRIS SMITH and the 48-HOUR CORVETTE

As we’ve mentioned before, Chris and the Corvette took the Manufacturer’s Vintage Class title away from Bret Voelkel (who had held it for the previous two years) during the 2015 event.  This year, Chris improved his road course time by nearly 4 seconds, but was edged out of the 1st place spot in that portion by DSE’s Kyle Tucker.  However, Chris went on to smoke the competition in the autocross, leading to a full-on tie with Tucker, making them Co-Champions!

There were quite a few other RideTech friends and customers taking podium spots and excelling at this event; have a look at the official results page!!
