Installing a Ridetech 4-Link into your first or second gen F-Body or second-gen Nova just got easier. These axle housings are an ideal combination for building out your pro-touring classic as they ship with the 4-Link and sway bar brackets already welded to the housing making the 4-link installation completely bolt-in. Previously those had to be added post-purchase, adding time and complexity to the installation of a four link to these popular platforms.
Ridetech is pleased to announce the release of their new Ridetech GM F-Body and Nova Axle Housings. These Ford 9” Rear Axle Housings are for first (1967-1969) and second gen (1970-1981) Camaro/Firebird and second gen (1968-1974) Nova applications that will utilize current design Ridetech 4-link systems.
These strong 9” Ford housings are a great foundation for putting torque to the pavement. The housings feature a webbed center section with internal gussets, 1/4” wall 3” diameter tubes and billet steel flanges (New Style Bearing/Torino). The pinion is offset .50” and the axle flange is offset 2.5”. Stock and narrowed axle widths are offered to satisfy mini-tubbed applications. Axle housings are commonly needed for vehicles that are in varied stages of completion so Ridetech is offering these housings in both black powder-coat finish and raw to fit customer needs.
The included 31-spline axles are heat treated from 1541H alloy and feature a 5” x 4 ¾” bolt pattern and grade 8 ½” x 2” wheel studs. Timken SET20 bearings are pressed onto the axles which also include the bearing retaining plates.
These products pair well with Ridetech’s already extensive offering of first and second generation GM F-body and Nova suspension systems. When combined with Wilwood or Baer brakes (which Ridetech is also a dealer for), we become your one stop shop for each of these components, saving time and potential frustration when ordering components separately.
