Switch Suspension Ridetech Equipped C10 Build

Some really cool builds come together inside of our friend’s shop at Switch Suspension. Located in Mesa, Arizona, they offer full installation services and are a certified dealer and installer of Ridetech air and coil-over suspension systems.

Here recently, one of their long-standing customers wanted to liven things up on his 1970 C10, and the formula called for an LS3 engine, a Ridetech suspension, Wilwood brake system, and some upgraded wheels from American Racing were top of the list.

The GM LS3 engine (or any of the GM LS variants for that matter) are a quintessential part of any build as they are dead nuts reliable and response well to power modifications. There is also an entire subset of components that you can order up that help add a nostalgic look to the late model engine when it comes to valve covers. etc. With the amount of room inside the C-10 pickup’s engine bay, they had plenty of space to accommodate one of Holley’s Hi-Ram intake manifolds.

The exhaust is a full stainless 2.5” dual exhaust with Borla mufflers and some shorty headers for a great fitting and sounding package.

When it comes to truck builds, the word ‘custom’ tends to find its way into the build plans, and this orange and white ’70 is no exception. A fuel filler was integrated behind the driver’s side taillight allowing them to keep the filler neck from being located in a more conventional location.

When it comes to the 1967-1972 GM C-10 platform, Ridetech has a full suite of suspension solutions to meet you where you are currently or help you grow as your build progresses. Our StreetGRIP kits lower the truck, improve both stance and ride quality, while adding adjustable shocks and retaining factory geometry.

We also have complete air and coil-over suspensions that feature tubular control arms and rear 4-link systems that greatly improve the trucks’ performance and handling and allow for more adjustability for those looking to build the ultimate street or pro-touring truck.

The end result is nothing short of motivating for those of us that need to get into the shop and finish our own before spring has fully sprung!
