Tech Tip | Save Time Installing Bushings

Are you installing a Ridetech StreetGRIP kit with stock control arms or upgrading to Delrin bushings in your C5/C6 Vette? While each of those upgrades include Ridetech’s upgraded Delrin bushings, the easiest way to install them without damaging your arms is with our Ridetech Bushing Tools.

Depending on what your garage space allows (or doesn’t) you may not have a press, bench vise, or other tools that come into play when it comes to a bushing replacement job. At Ridetech we’ve always felt that if we’re going to offer a part that can require a bit of a struggle to complete the upgrade, it’s always a good idea to have be able to offer a tool that helps reduce the frustration of the job.

And if you’re a dealer and your shop press stays pretty tied up with other business related tasks, it may be handy to stow one of these around so work can continue on tasks like these without running into a roadblock.

For those upgrading the control arm bushings in their C5 or C6 Corvette (1997-2013), we even offer a tool to simplify that job. Ridetech Delrin Control arm bushings remove a lot of the deflection and compliance that are inherent to the factory GM bushing design. Couple that with the age of those generation cars and the mileage they have seen by now and replacing those with a better spec Delrin bushing from Ridetech is just what the doctor ordered.

If you find yourself in need, we’ve linked to each tool’s product page below. Watch the quick how-to above and consider adding one to the tool set at your shop or home garage.

We’ll catch you on the next one!
