The 33 made it out to the Battle at the Banks this weekend in Salem IN, but it did not race on the track for two reasons:
1. The OEM FFR steering rack is not up to the loads imposed by the 295mm wide tires on the front. Too much flex and bind creating inconsistent steering feel. Hard to drive a car that you can’t steer!
2. There is a spark scatter problem above 3000rpm. This is a fresh engine so I don’t want to beat the bearings out of it [or worse] the first weekend.
We will address both problems this week [along with some remaining details to be finished up] and have the car at Nashville Goodguys in 2 weeks.
