The great thing about our Coil-Over system is you get to adjust the ride height that works best for your car. Our recommended pre-load is just that, a recommendation. We work off an average vehicle weight for each application that was gathered over many years of weighing vehicles at car shows. If your Tri-5 doesn’t sit the way you like, just add or remove pre-load to get the desired height. This change will only effect the height of the car and will have no discernible effect on the ride quality or handling. The one thing to watch is the shock length. As a general rule of thumb we like like to see the shock compressed 40% of its travel when the car is at ride height. If you still have issues getting the car to sit where you like we will be happy to get you a spring that better suits your particular vehicle weight.”
