21 Years Later | Retro Fabworks Chevelle Resto Story

A fact of life is that things just don’t always go as planned. That was unfortunately true about this father and son Chevelle build. Don Abenante of Retro Fabworks lost his father too soon to enjoy building the car together, but that didn’t stop him from turning the muscle car into a straight-line contender. 21 years has passed and now it’s time to give the Chevelle a new lease on life, adding daily drivable and much better handling to it’s list of capabilities.

If you’ve paid attention to the engine bay you’ll have already noticed that previous iterations of this car have yielded an engine that packs quite a punch. We look forward to seeing the rest of this build take place and can’t wait to see it putting the power down on both the 1320 and in the corners.

Don is using one of our full coil-over systems to get the Chevelle sitting and handling right. That includes a set of our popular HQ 24-position single rebound adjustable coil-overs and a set of Hyperco springs at all four corners to handle the weight of this bad Larry.
