Fox Cast Media Goes Ridetech SLA Suspension

Fox Body Mustangs have always been cool. Just ask Vanilla Ice! But the Fox Body builds of today are much cooler than back in our high school years thanks to the modern parts our awesome industry has continued developing over the  decades; parts like our Ridetech SLA suspension

Caleb Richards has a large fanbase across his Fox Cast Media channel, many of which have been patiently (and some not so patiently…) for him to complete the build. We all realize that good things are worth waiting for, and Caleb has been waiting to to finish out the front suspension on his 1992 LX called “Road Warrior”

While you’ve probably read up on all of the performance benefits that can be enjoyed by upgrading to the Ridetech SLA system by now, an additional byproduct of the system is that it allows the freedom to remove the shock towers from the engine bay of your Fox Body Mustang. This greatly increases real estate in the engine bay, making it attractive for those who may be installing larger width Coyote engines. It should be stated this is an entirely optional step, but we appreciate Caleb for taking it and showing just how clean a Fox Body engine bay can look

When it comes to the braking department, Caleb opted to go with the SN95 Cobra brakes in the front using our SN95 brake caliper adapter brackets. But for those who are wanting more performance potential in that area, these kits also accept S550 factory or aftermarket brake packages when installed with our S550 caliper brackets (see below).

Caleb is also integrating an aftermarket front K-member into his build, specifically a chromoly unit from UPR. Thankfully our SLA system is available for builds that are incorporating an aftermarket k-member or the factory crossmember.

Another unique feature of our SLA system is that is compatible with the HQ single rebound adjustable coil-overs that you see in Caleb’s video. If you’re building your Mustang Fox Body out to be more road race centric or know your way around in-depth suspension tuning, you can also choose to run our TQ triple adjustable coil-overs that come with external reservoirs, and allow for both low and high speed compression adjustment along with rebound adjustment. See below for all links to all Ridetech products referenced in this blog post.

We look forward to seeing more content on Caleb’s build as these components hop out of their boxes and find themselves installed on the car. Stay tuned!
