Ridetech First Gen F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) Front Subframes
ABOVE: Head on front view of the subframe, highlighting the billet upper A-arms, larger front sway bar, and integrated rack and pinion steering.
First up is a huge step into new territory for the Ridetech brand. Last year we impressed the industry with our out-of-the-box-take on the Fox Body Mustang rear suspension, introducing our bolt-in IRS (independent rear suspension) cradle suspension solution. This paired perfectly with our SLA double wishbone suspension that we had released earlier in 2023 and truly transformed the handling and performance you can extract from the popular Fox Body platform.
Since wading out into uncharted territory, we haven’t turned back. Over the last year our team has been hard at work developing our first ever F-Body Front Subframe for first generation 1967-1969 Camaro and Firebird applications and we’re excited to share these with the world at SEMA 2024.
Ridetech has long been known in the performance automotive aftermarket as an innovator in the space and we’ve continued in that tradition with the development of these first gen subframes.
To start, we’ve designed this suspension to be compatible with either hub or pin spindle configurations. This makes it easy for an existing pin spindle equipped F-body owner who has upgraded their F-body brakes to bolt these back on with our new subframe package. For others, the AFX hub spindle is a great option as it allows you to run factory C5/C6/C7 hubs coupled with OE or aftermarket C5 or C6 brake packages.
One of the struggles DIY enthusiasts and builders alike encounter when building out first gen F-body applications is that it’s tough to fit a large tire under the front of the car. Our front subframe impressively maintains the factory track width, all while allowing the fitment of an 18”x10” wheel with a 6.5” backspace, without modification to or a reduction in the turning radius.
The system is also compatible with either our Fox coil-over or ShockWave™ air suspensions and will be released with HQ (High Quality) single rebound adjustable options or, for the track minded enthusiast, our TQ (Track Quality) triple adjustable variants, complete with both low- and high-speed compression and rebound adjustment.
These subframes are coming soon, but in the meantime, continue reading for the rest of the specs, details and product features below.

Ridetech 6th Gen Camaro (2016-2024) Coil-overs
Our second new product release for SEMA 2024 fits right in line with what we’ve been known for over the years, albeit with a late model muscle car focus. Our HQ Series Coil-over system and Adjustable Rear Sway Bar for 2016-2024 Camaros dropped just before the show and we’re excited to share them with the industry.
High-performance Fox Factory monotube coil-overs have been designed by Ridetech to install in place of the factory suspension system, offering the ability to dial in the ride height to suit the needs of your build. In addition, the HQ series coil-overs feature 24-position rebound adjustability, allowing you to fine-tune the responsiveness of your ride during rebound events. These coil-overs are now available and can be found at the link below.
Ridetech 6th Gen Camaro (2016-2024) Adjustable Rear Sway Bar
The all-new larger than OEM adjustable rear sway bar is a three position bar, allowing the fine-tuning of the balance of the car as desired. For anyone wanting their 6th gen Camaro to exhibit a greater willingness to rotate in the rear, look no further. Lightweight aluminum bar mounts and poly bushings fasten the black powdercoated bar into place, while the OE endlinks attach it to each side of the car. These bars are available now and can be found at the link below.
ABOVE: The factory bar rate is 145 ft-lbs., whereas our bar offers three different bar rate settings to choose from: First setting = 210 ft-lbs Second setting = 220 ft-lbs. | Third setting = 235 ft-lbs.
These lightweight aluminum sway bar mounts feature a laser-etched Ridetech icon so there’s no mistaking what brand manufactured the bar. Together with low friction bushings these mounts firmly hold the sway bar in place. They connect to each side of the suspension via the factory OEM endlinks.
