The Perfect Car : Brian Ditzler’s 1968 Camaro

Bryan Ditzler is no stranger to using the skinny pedal in his track-prepped 1968 Camaro. In this video, Brian shares his experience building his dad’s old Camaro with Shawn from AutotopiaLA. Known for showing off some pretty epic rides, AutotopiaLA is the premier automotive enthusiast channel primarily focusing on showcasing the glorious world of American “pro-touring” & “restomod” builds.

Powered by a newly built LS3 and paired with a T56 transmission and a built 12 Bolt, this Camaro is a true garage-built beast. This classic’s ride quality and handling come from our complete coil-over system utilizing the new Ridetech AFX hub spindles. The addition of the Corvette brakes makes this thing stop on a dime.

Bryan opted for a set of Forgeline RS3 wheels, 18×9 in the front and 18×9.5 in the rear. The bigger wheel and tire combination adds to the aggressive styling while maintaining the timeless five-spoke design. Bryan recently added a few new upgrades as he prepares for another season on the track. Adding a harness bar and racing seats are essential features to keep him safe on the track.

Next on the list was saving some weight. A Dusold Design rear seat delete kit dropped the weight and helped achieve a 2900-3000lbs total weight. Bryan mentioned the next upgrade includes a chassis mount Nine Lives Racing wing and front chin splitter, Anvil carbon trunk lid, and possibly a ProCharger down the road. Lighter weight and additional power will likely make this classic first gen a rocket ship!

In Bryan’s spare time, he helps keep America safe. Bryan has been on active duty in the Navy for the past 17 years. A big thanks to Bryan for his service.
